Can't wait to get on campus? Beat the move-in rush and join us for our fall retreat! Rise Jumpstart allows you to meet and build community among other Students, Faculty, and Staff. The retreat is in-person and takes place between August 11-13th; early move-in begins August 9th

RISE First Year Seminar Course 

Fulfill your first year seminar requirement with us! Students will meet once a week with a RISE advisor and fellow RISE students to assist in the transition to WVU and provide information about campus resources.

This 2-credit course is offered in the Fall terms.

RISE University Mentoring Course

Want to connect with a Faculty or Staff member? Take the University Mentoring course and earn credit for engaging in meaningful dialogue with a mentor. Students will work in a small group setting led by WVU faculty and staff to explore topics that support healthy professional and personal development. 

This 1-credit course is offered in the Spring terms.

RISE Success Coaching 

Meet one-on-one with our Graduate Assistant to enhance your academic success by focusing on time management, note taking, reading, and study skills. 

This service is offered in during all academic terms.
