Partnering with offices across campus, this program seeks to create opportunities for students of color and other underrepresented groups to build an academic community and persist towards graduation through engagement and mentoring.

Rise WVU offers mentoring services to all students.  Students can choose between mentoring groups led by a faculty or staff member, facilitated through an eight-week course, or meet up with a peer-mentor during RISEWVU events.  Build a community by connecting with a mentor today!

Add University Engagement to your schedule.

Have room on your schedule? Take the University Engagement course and earn credit for your community service. Students will work with campus and community partners to develop programming to raise awareness of important causes.  Students can earn funding towards the need that is most important to them.

This 3-credit course is offered Spring 2019- SRVL 293A, CRN 18147.
