Speed Meet

Faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend "Spectrum: WVU" as part of an effort to support the RISE community.  In partnership with FirstGen programming, we aim to explore challenges within WVU's student community. Popularized by YouTube channel, Jubilee, spectrum style events encourages participants to use their personal experiences to respond to prompts over a shared theme for greater understand for the whole group.
If you are game to toe the line, join RISE and First Gen on Wednesday, January 25th at 5:30 in the Shenandoah Room- first Floor of the MountainLair.

RISE First-Year Seminar Course

Fulfill your first-year seminar requirement with us! Students will meet once a week with a RISE advisor and fellow RISE students to assist in the transition to WVU and provide information about campus resources.

This 2-credit course is offered in the fall terms.

RISE University Mentoring Course

Want to connect with a faculty or staff member? Take the University Mentoring course and earn credit for engaging in meaningful dialogue with a mentor. Students will work in a small group setting led by WVU faculty and staff to explore topics that support healthy professional and personal development.

This 1-credit course is offered in the fall and spring terms. Recommended for upperclassmen and transfer students.
